Education Online Technical Help
To successfully open or run IAFF online learning modules, the following requirements on your computer system are required:
Microsoft Internet Explorer is required to open or run the IAFF online modules. If you don't have the Internet Explorer 7 or above, visit the Microsoft web site to get a free Internet Explorer
If Pop-Up blocking is not disabled you will not be able to view IAFF Online Modules. These directions will guide you
through the process of disabling pop-up blocker in Internet Explorer only.
For Windows Vista
- Bring up Internet Explorer
- Click on Tools, Pop-up Blocker
- Select Turn Off Pop-up Blockers
For Windows XP
- Bring up Internet Explorer
- Click on Tools, Pop-up Blocker
- Select Turn Off Pop-up Blockers
For Windows 7 Internet Explorer 9
- Bring up Internet Explorer
- Click on the Pop-up Blocker icon
- Select the "Always allow pop-ups from www.iaff.org" option
Some of online modules are developed using Adobe Flash. If you don't have Adobe Flash Player 9 or above installed on your computer, visit the Adobe web site to get free Adobe Flash Player.
Adobe Acrobat Reader 6 or above is required to view documents/resources from IAFF online modules. If you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader 6 or above on your computer, visit the Adobe web site to get free Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Some of online modules require Windows Media Player 7 or above to listen to audio or view video clips. If you don't have the player installed on your computer, visit the Microsoft web site to get free Windows Media Player.
To print a web page with its background colors or images, follow the instructions below:
- Open Internet Explorer
- Click on Tools from the menu bar
- Click on the Internet Options under the Tools to bring up the Internet Options window
- Click on the Advanced tab
- Scroll down the Advanced pannel and check the box under the Printing option
- Click OK to close the Internet Options window
