SECOND PLACE:
“Vulcan Road Fire” represents an outstanding
composition of fire fighters in action against a raging fire that threatened
an adjacent chemical storage facility. More than 100 fire fighters from
across Toronto battled the $1 million, four-alarm fire at this family-run
furniture store in North Etobicoke in August 2004. Miraculously, there were
no injuries or casualties.
