STOP ALEC'S CORPORATE TAKEOVER

WATCH THE ALEC IS NOT OK RALLY

Oklahoma voters elect our lawmakers to represent us. Behind closed doors in state capitals, the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) is making sure lawmakers help out big corporate money to override  our interests instead.

ALEC buys politician's support by financing all-expense-paid trips to its conventions for them and their families. Lawmakers get to stay in swank hotels, attend cool parties - even strip clubs - and raise funds for their campaigns from corporate executives.

WHEN POLITICIANS ARE BOUGHT AND SOLD BY THE RICH,
PEOPLE WHO WORK FOR A LIVING GET SOLD OUT.

98% of ALEC's funding comes from corporations like Exxon Mobil, corporate "foundations" like the Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation, or trade associations like the pharmaceutical industry's PhRMA so big business and billionaires get preferential treatment ... exactly the kind of thing this country and Oklahoma need less of right now.

ALEC's cookie-cutter laws pose a direct threat to public safety by silencing the voices of fire fighters and giving politicians the final say on such crucial issues as emergency response training, equipment and staffing levels.

Who would you rather have making life-and-death decisions when it comes to fire department response - fire fighters or politicians?
