IAFF-MG 8th District National Ride Route

The IAFF-MG 8th District is anticipating significant participation in the IAFF-MG National Ride. Participants will rally September 8, 2007, at the Holiday Inn Select in Tinley Park, Illinois, at 1:00 p.m. departing at 2:00 p.m. for Davenport, Iowa. Plans are subject to change. Participants are responsible for their own lodging.

September 8:     Depart Tinley Park, Illinois, via I-80 West to I-280 West to I-74 West to Davenport, Iowa (155 miles)

September 9:     Depart Davenport, Iowa, via I-74b West to I-80 West to I-380 North to US-218 North to IA-27 North to I-35 North to I-90 West to Sioux Falls, South Dakota (437 miles)

September 10:   Depart Sioux Falls, South Dakota, via I-90 West to Sturgis, South Dakota (368 miles)

Depart for Colorado Springs, Colorado, via US-14A South to US-85 South to US-18/85 South to US-18/20 to I-25 South (478 miles)

September 15: IAFF Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial

Return Trip

September 16: Depart Colorado Springs, Colorado, via I-25 North to I-76 East to I-80 East to Kearny, Nebraska (428 miles)

September 17: Depart Kearny, Nebraska, via I-80 East to Iowa City, Iowa (436 miles)

September 18: Depart Iowa City, Iowa, via I-80 East to Tinley Park, Illinois (214 miles)

When making hotel reservations, mention that you are with the IAFF-MG to receive any applicable discount rates.

In Sturgis, South Dakota, we will rally with other IAFF brothers and sisters heading to Colorado Springs. In Colorado Springs, some members may be in Class A uniform. Participation with or without Class A uniform is acceptable.
