IAFF-MG 1st District National Ride Route

The 1st District IAFF-MG will offer four starting points on September 6 and September 7, 2007, but all participants must be in Maumee, Ohio, by the evening of September 7.

The first leg of the ride is the longest, and it is recommended that participants break it up into two days. The goals is to meet the 4th District IAFF-MG in Maumee, Ohio, on September 7. From there, the 1st District IAFF-MG will ride with the 4th District IAFF-MG and other IAFF-MG Districts as the ride progresses.

All participates MUST call 1st District Coordinator John Ryan at (845) 978-3358 to coordinate meeting spots for riders.

From Central New Jersey:

Follow I-276 West (17.5 miles); take the I-476 exit towards Allentown 31-131 (74.7 miles); take exit 95 onto I-80 West (294.1 miles); follow I-80 West towards Cleveland (153.9 miles); take exit 64 onto I-75 South towards Dayton (3.8 miles); take exit 192 onto I-475 North towards Maumee/Ann Arbor (1 mile).

From New York City:

Follow the New Jersey Garden State Parkway Southbound; take the I-78 West exit just past Irvington; follow I-78 West (72.4 miles); take exit 53 onto PA-309 North towards Tamaqua/Pennsylvania Turnpike (1.8 miles); bear right onto US-22 West towards Harrisburg (8 miles); take I-476 exit (38.1 miles); follow directions from Central New Jersey at I-476.

From Central New York (orange County):

Follow I-84 West (approximately 70 miles) towards Wilkes-Barre exit onto I-81 South (36.4 miles); take exit 151B onto I-80 West towards Bloomsburg (276.5 miles); take I-80 West exit towards Cleveland (159.1 miles); take exit 59/US-20 onto Reynolds Road to Maumee.

From Jamestown, New York:

Follow I-86 West towards Erie, Pennsylvania (35.2 miles); take exit 1A onto I-90 West towards Erie (91.8 miles); follow I-90 West exit towards Cleveland (17.8 miles); take exit 170B onto I-90 West towards Toledo (110.6 miles); take exit 59/US-20 onto Reynolds Road to Maumee.
