District 3 Ride Benefits Connecticut Burn Hospital

August 28, 2006 – Torrington, CT Local 1567 is hosting its 5th Annual Motorcycle Ride to benefit the Bridgeport Burn Unit – an official IAFF-MG District 3 event – on September 17, 2006. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with the ride departing at 10:00 a.m. from the Torrington Fire Headquarters.

“As our membership’s interest in riding increased, we wanted to do a ride and we wanted to do it for a good cause,” says Todd LaMothe, president of Local 1567. “Bridgeport Burn Unit is the only burn hospital in the state of Connecticut.”

There is no pre-registration. The cost is $20 for a single rider and $25 for riders with a passenger.
