It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty deaths of Lieutenant Christopher M. Leach and Senior Firefighter/EMT Jerry W. Fickes of IAFF Local 1590 - Wilmington, Delaware. Brother Leach, 41 and Brother Fickes, 51, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from a floor collapse while at a working fire.

Senior Firefighter Jerry Fickes’ public Viewing will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 2033 Graves Road, Hockessin, Delaware 19707, (302) 239-6481. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at the same location.

Lieutenant Chris Leach’s Viewing will be held on Friday September 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, 809 S. Broom Street, Wilmington, Delaware 19805, (302) 652-3626. The Funeral Mass will follow at 12 noon at the same location.

A Public Memorial Service in honor of Brothers Leach and Fickes will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chase Center on the Riverfront, 815 Justison Street, Wilmington, Delaware.

Ryan Osler

It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Engineer Ryan Osler of IAFF Local 1364 - Ventura County, California. Brother Osler, 38, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from a water tender rollover enroute to a fire.

The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Community Church 5495 Via Rocas, Westlake Village, California 91362, (818) 991-8040.

The fire department's Widow, Orphans and Assistance Fund is accepting donations. Donations can be mailed to the Ventura County Professional Firefighters Association, 3251 Corte Malpaso, Suite 501 B-C, Camarillo, CA 93012. It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Battalion Chief Michael J. Fahy of IAFF Local 854 - Uniformed Fire Officers Association of New York, New York. Brother Fahy, 44, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from an explosion while at a fire.
