Line-of-Duty Death Announcements
Unfortunately, emergency responders must sometimes make the ultimate sacrifice in the performance of their job. This section of the Web site is dedicated to announce, honor and memorialize our members that die in the line-of-duty.
It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Captain Charley Boomer of IAFF Local 2549 - Riverview, New Brunswick. Brother Boomer, 68, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013 from kidney cancer.
The Visitation will be held on Monday, December 9, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Cobbís Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview, New Brunswick E1B 0E4, (506) 869-2007. The Service will be held on Tuesday, December 10, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paulís United Church, 404 Cleveland Avenue, Riverview, New Brunswick E1B 1Y2, (506) 386-3355.
