Unfortunately, emergency responders must sometimes make the ultimate sacrifice in the performance of their job. This section of the Web site is dedicated to announce, honor and memorialize our members that die in the line-of-duty.

It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Fire Marshal David A. Staub of IAFF Local 3756 - Loudoun County, Virginia. Brother Staub, 55, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 from a heart attack.
The Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 1:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department, 7411 Cherry Lane, Laurel, Maryland 20707. A Fire Department service will begin at 8:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. also at the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department. Interment will be help privately at a later date. Arrangements will be handled by the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, Maryland 20707, (301) 725-1690.
