Unfortunately, emergency responders must sometimes make the ultimate sacrifice in the performance of their job. This section of the Web site is dedicated to announce, honor and memorialize our members that die in the line-of-duty.

It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty of Fire Fighter Ramon E. Hain of IAFF Local 21 - Saint Paul, Minnesota. Brother Hain, 50, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2009 from heart disease.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 1660 W. County Road B, Roseville, Minnesota 55113, (651) 631-2727.

David H. Jacobs

It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Battalion Chief David H. Jacobs, Jr. of IAFF Local 2898 - Seattle Fire Chiefs, Seattle, Washington. Brother Jacobs, 58, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2009 from esophageal cancer.

A memorial service by the Seattle Fire Department will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 2:00 a.m. at the U.S. Naval Reserve Building, South Lake Union, 860 Terry Avenue-North, Seattle, Washington 98109.
