Conference Schedule

The 2009 Conference will be held March 15-18, 2009, at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. Please see the Agenda for Conference schedule and activities.

Conference Registration

Registration is now closed.
 

Conference Fee and Deadline

The registration fee is $425 per person for those registering by February 16, 2009; the late registration fee is $500 for those registering after February 16. 

FIREPAC Leadership Trust registration is $500; FIREPAC Founders Circle registration (received by February 16) is $425.

Capitol Hill Appointments

All Conference participants have the opportunity to meet with their representatives and senators while attending the Legislative Conference.  Participants should schedule these appointments prior to coming to Washington, DC.

Call your legislators' Washington, DC offices directly or call the Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and ask for your member's office. The IAFF recommends that you schedule your appointments for Tuesday, March 17.   

Conference Materials

The IAFF will provide each participant with a 2009 Fire Fighter Issues Book outlining key legislative initiatives, plus additional detailed materials to assist you in your lobbying efforts.

All Conference attendees will receive a final copy of the Issues Book via email prior to the Conference, and will also receive printed copies of the Issues Book on March 15 upon check in.
