The IAFF’s Partnership Education Program
(PEP) provides affiliate leaders with the training needed to develop their
leadership skills and to stay abreast of the latest advancements in labor
relations.
Each year, the state and provincial associations can choose Assisted Seminar or Seminar Subsidy.
PEP Assisted Seminars
With this option, the IAFF provides one day of customized training to be presented in conjunction with the state or provincial annual meeting. We provide the instructors, curriculum and supplies needed for the training at no cost to the state or provincial association.
In this program, the state and provincial associations can choose up to three workshops (two hours each) on a variety of topics to fill one day of instruction. The curriculum is designed to meet the educational needs of leaders who work in both collective bargaining and non-collective bargaining environments. These workshops focus on the skills required in union administration including collective bargaining negotiations, grievance handling, political action, public relations, budgeting, etc. Please click on the link below for a complete listing of the workshops available for delivery.
