Memorial Service Planned for Vandenberg Fire Fighter
June
30, 2010 – The Vandenburg Fire Department and Vandenberg, CA Local F-116
will pay tribute to brother Sean Fleming who
went missing
on Sunday, June 20, 2010 after a boating accident near Gaviota State Beach.
Brother Fleming was 32 years old.
Brother Fleming was hired by Vandenberg Fire Department on May 11, 1998. He
served the citizens of Vandenberg Air Force Base and the state of California for
12 years as a hot shot, engineer, helitak crew member, water rescue team program
manager and union vice president.
Memorial Service Information
When: Thursday, July 1, at 10:00 a.m.
Where: Our Lady of Assumption Church; 3175 Telegraph Road, Ventura, CA
Apparatus should enter through the gate at Dunning, cross of San Luis Street.
Check in will begin at 8:30 a.m. Class A Uniforms have been requested.
Immediately following the memorial service, a reception is planned at Our Lady
of Assumption Parish Grounds. This will be concluded with an apparatus
procession and wreath ceremony at Ventura Pier.
