Rock and Roll for Cause II Benefits Fire Fighter Families
April 1, 2008 – When a severe medical crisis strikes, health
insurance often doesn’t cover everything, often forcing families to dip into
their savings and beyond to pay bills. To help fellow fire fighters faced with
financial hardship due to overwhelming health care costs, Poughkeepsie, NY Local
596 is hosting the Rock and Roll for a Cause II on Sunday, May 4, 2008.
All proceeds will benefit the families of Local 596 fire
fighters Steven Super and Eric Levin. Super’s daughter, Jonah, is a six-year-old
twin who is still suffering from complications of a premature birth. Levin’s
wife, Brenda, had unsuccessful back surgery and is now disabled.
The event will be held at the Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie,
New York. Attendees can enjoy several bands, a sports memorabilia auction,
raffles, food and drinks. Tickets are $15 each and will be sold at the door.
