Georgia Local BBQ Benefits Injured Fire Fighter Fund

March 19, 2008 – Forsyth County, GA Local 4230 will hold a Fire Fighter BBQ and Family Day as a fundraiser for its Injured Fire Fighter Benefit Fund, which provides financial assistance to Forsyth County fire fighters who are injured on the job. Worker's compensation pays just 66 percent or two-thirds of a fire fighter's salary.

The Second Annual Fire Fighter BBQ and Family Day is scheduled for April 26, 2008, from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at the Russell Lot located at the corner of West Maple Street and Castleberry Road in Cummings, Georgia.

The event features Lexie Kaye and the River Rats from 97.1 The River, a moonwalk from Better Moonwalks and the Forsyth County Fire Safety House.

Donations are accepted and all proceeds benefit the Injured Fire Fighter Fund. Send you contributions to:
