Clark County Fire Fighters Support Cancer Survivors in Las Vegas
August 30, 2013 – Nevada cancer survivors celebrated their triumph over cancer at the Well Healed luncheon and fashion show organized by the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the Cancer Centers of America at the Vdara Hotel and Spa in Las Vegas August 22.
Clark County, NV Local 1908 fire fighters proudly served as escorts for the survivors during the fashion show. “When representatives from Cancer Centers called to ask us to participate, we didn’t hesitate,” says Local 1908 President Ryan Beaman. “Our guys were honored to do it.”
The new fashions worn by the survivors were donated by Ann Taylor. Tommy Bahama donated the pink shirts worn by the fire fighters.
