Connecticut United Ride September 9

September 9, 2012 – The 12th Annual Connecticut United Ride, the largest motorcycle charity ride in New England, is September 9. Last year, the Uniformed Professional Fire Fighters Association of Connecticut (UPFFA) sponsored event raised $38,250 to benefit the Connecticut fire and police relief funds and the United Way.

The ride which began as a tribute to those who lost their lives on September 11 travels with full police escort through 11 cities and towns beginning in Norwalk and ending in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

In each of the towns, the local fire fighters bring out their ladder trucks and hang the American flag from their extended ladders over the roadway traveled by the riders.
