Nova Scotia Fire Fighters Ready to Use New Training Apparatus
December 3, 2010 – Cape Breton, NS Local 2779 fire fighters are scheduled to
begin Fire Fighter II recertification training on a new mobile training unit
designed by ProSafe Fire Training Systems, Inc.
The Cape Breton Regional Fire Service bought the unit so that its fire fighters
could receive life-like, live-burn experience training in a controlled
environment. “This will be a great tool for our veteran fire fighters, as well
as our new recruits,” says Local 2779 President Jody Wrathall.
Wrathall and fellow Local 2779 members Paul Ferguson and Dave Boudreau all
received training on mobile training unit operations and maintenance. All fire
fighters are expected to use the apparatus for Fire fighter II training in the
coming year. |
