Tennessee Fire Departments to Benefit From Auction
October 27, 2010 – Non-profit organization NASH20 is hosting an online auction
with one-third of the proceeds benefiting the Tennessee fire departments
affected by the May 2010 floods. The other two-thirds will go to two charitable
organizations –
MusiCares Nashville Flood Relief Fund and
Nashville Musicians
Association Flood Relief Fund.
The items being auctioned are donated musical instruments from Peter Frampton,
Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Vince Gill and others.

The auction runs through December 10. At that time, Tennessee fire departments
will have the opportunity to apply for a grant. Grant guidelines and information
regarding the application process will be available in early 2011. Visit
www.facebook.com/SupportingFirefighters for more information.
NASH20 is a charitable initiative to raise money from damaged instruments,
equipment and other items to benefit musicians and Nashville-area fire and
rescue departments in need of equipment. Flood-damaged instruments have been
decontaminated and certified for safety. Some items were never touched by the
water, but have been donated specifically for this fundraising effort. |
