Foley Fire Fighters Organize to Become Alabama’s Newest Local

December 3, 2009 – IAFF 14th District Vice President Danny Todd presented Foley, AL Local 4772 with an IAFF charter. Local 4772 fire fighters look forward to establishing open lines of communication with local government officials, community leaders and the media.

“Two of us had previously been members of Mobile Local 1349 and had seen first-hand the benefits of IAFF membership,” says Local 4772 President Lee Steiner. “We have no immediate concerns. Our only goals are to be the voice of public safety as future decisions are made and to become more involved with community outreach.”

New local officers include: President Steiner, Secretary-Treasurer Bryan Shutt, Vice President Joel Jenkins and Executive Board members Kevin Barnwell and Devery Thomas.
