Florida Fire Fighters Chili Cook-off to Benefit MDA

January 29, 2009 -- West Palm Beach, FL Local 727 is bringing back its Firehouse Chili Cook-off. The event will be held Saturday, February 28, 2009, from 1:00–8:00 p.m. at Centennial Square. All proceeds benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

Fire departments and businesses are invited to cook five gallons of their best chili and submit it for judging. The entry fee is $25.

Awards will be given out for first, second and third place in two categories – fire departments and businesses. Each department or business that enters is also encouraged to create a theme. An additional award will be given out for best theme.

To attend the event, tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.
