Enter Your Recipes in the Tabasco Cook & Ladder Competition

May 9, 2008 – Fire fighters are invited to enter their “hot” recipes in the Fifth National Tabasco Cook & Ladder Competition, open to all fire fighters except those with professional culinary training. All entries must be postmarked by Friday, October 31, 2008.

Recipes must be original and include at least one of the six pepper sauces in the Tabasco family: original, green jalapeno, garlic, chipotle, habanera and sweet and spicy. Entries are judged on originality, creativity, taste, use of Tabasco sauce, recipe clarity and presentation.

The grand prize is $10,000; second prize is $5,000; and third prize is $2,000. All prize money is divided evenly between the winning fire fighters and their affiliated firehouses.
