When a Local 122 member’s home was damaged by fire, he didn’t have to look far for help. More than 25 of his fellow fire fighters showed up to reroof the house and do other work so the family could move back in before Christmas.

Sometimes kids come first. The annual “Fill the Boot” campaign in Batavia for kids with muscular dystrophy was bound to go on, despite the fact some fire fighters and medics would be out of work in a few more weeks.
