"Cause for Alarm," a three-part special report airing in February 2007, reported on fire fighters who died because of faulty safety equipment, including personal alert safety system (PASS) alarms. "Benefits Blocked," also a three-part series airing in march 2007, explored the fact that no federal dollars had been paid on public safety officer benefits (PSOB) death claims.
