A 2006 house fire took the life of Lieutenant Arnie Wolff. Six months later, Elliott and Vandersnick developed a week-long news feature explaining how the fire department and the City of Green Bay addressed the emotional and physical needs of IAFF fire fighters.

A team of researchers at Indiana University/Bloomington put heart and respiratory monitors on three dozen fire fighters at Station 10. Its goal: to chart the stresses and strains and arrive at life-saving conclusions.
