3. When and how
do I make hotel reservations?
The Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino will begin taking
reservations for the IAFF 2008 Convention in April. In order to
preserve the IAFF block for Convention delegates, a code is required to make
hotel reservations at the Rio All-Suite Hotel. Please see the housing form found
inside the delegate credentials packet for the code and hotel contact
information. Locals who have received their housing form will be able
to reserve rooms through
the IAFF web site, by telephone and by fax with a credit card or check . Please
do not contact the IAFF headquarters for the housing code-it will not be given
over the telephone.
When you have received
your credentials, you may make hotel reservations here by using the code found
on the housing form.
4. How do I get my credentials
and housing form?
The IAFF mailed credentials and hotel reservation forms April 1 to all
affiliates that have paid per capita through March 2008. This means that your
local's per capita and EDF loan payments must be paid in full through March 31,
2008. Also, per
capita tax and EDF loans must be paid through and including June 2008 to be
entitled to representation at Convention.

What is required to cross the United States border and return to Canada?
Canadians traveling to the United States by air require a valid Canadian
passport. Canadians traveling by land require a government-issued photo ID, such

valid passport.
Canadians re-entering Canada by air will require a valid
Canadian passport. Canadians re-entering Canada by land require proper
identification, including a Canadian passport, a Canadian birth certificate, a
permanent residence card, a citizenship card or a certificate of Indian status.
The IAFF recommends using a passport to avoid complications in
