Enter the IAFF 2013 Media Awards Contest

February 21, 2013 – The IAFF is now accepting entries for the 2013 Media Awards Contest! Entering is easy with the online submission option that allows IAFF affiliates to upload entries or download an entry form. The deadline for entries is May 1, 2013.

IAFF members, journalists, reporters and photographers with entries published or broadcast between January 1 and December 31, 2012, are eligible to enter.

Awards are given in each of the subcategories:

• First Place - $500
• Second Place - $250
• Honorable Mention - certificate

Acceptable electronic formats include: PDFs, urls, jpgs and mp3s. Submissions must be received (online or by FAX or mail) by May 1, 2013.

The IAFF Media Awards Contest honors communications, reporting and photography that best portray the professional and dangerous work professional fire fighters and paramedics in the United States and Canada do every day. The Contest also recognizes outstanding work by IAFF affiliates in communicating with their members and to the public.
