October 6, 2010 – At the organization’s fall meeting in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, the
membership of the Federation of State and Provincial Professional Fire Fighters (FSPPFF)
elected Uniformed Professional Fire Fighters Association (UPFFA) of Connecticut
President Peter Carozza as its new chair. Carozza replaces the retiring chair,
Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts President Bob McCarthy.
“It is a great honor for the leadership of our state and provincial associations
to put their faith in me,” says Carozza, who has been UPFFA president for the
past 16 years.
California Professional Firefighters President Lou Paulson serves as vice
chair and Michigan Professional Fire Fighters Union Secretary-Treasurer
Terry Chesney is secretary-treasurer.
The FSPPFF provides an avenue for state and provincial leaders to discuss the
issues important to the fire service to develop a more precise understanding of
the issues and devise the best response plans. |
